Not my finest out-lap that's for sure, but it focused me for the rest of the session and I set my fastest time yet with 1:36.3 on R-S3 street tires.
An amazing day at the track, a recap video to follow!

Nice catch! Bet that's a fun track. Is that an HJC AR 10 ii I see? I have one of those!

An SI-12 actually!
It's gotten pretty beat up over the last couple of years (just minor scratching) so I may move on to the Stilo ST4 next...

Stilo ST4 carbon...so much want. In fact, all their helmets are great. They ain't cheap though!

That's for sure!
But it is your brain though... ;)

I like to joke about buying that AR10 - "cheap brain, cheap helmet." I am considering a Simpson R3 though, since race seats and harnesses aren't a possibility for my car.

lol - I wasn't eluding to cheap brain, cheap helmet. The AR10 protects just as well as the SI-12 or the ST4. On certain levels, a helmet is a helmet.
My reason for looking towards carbon was just to try an minimize a bit more weight, although I haven't confirmed it yet since this is likely a winter purchase.
The weight of your head + helmet is what acts on you during an impact. We've seen at least one death here from a non-halo seat in a side impact even though a HANS was worn.
So my goal for 2014 is to start the season with the halo seat and HANS that I already have, plus a CF helmet and nets on both sides. I already love my Schroth Profi belts and I'll be keeping those.
Next up might be completing the cage!
